This week the children covered the phonemes i, n, m and d. They also had a day to review and revise those sounds and apply their new knowledge. In Maths the children engaged in activities that drew their attention to counting and counting skills. They explored the various things that can be counted like sounds. The rest of the week involved looking at their own facial features to help them paint a portrait, they listened to the story In Every House on Every Street and made connections with their own lives. They began to understand how to input simple instructions using Beebots and used the stories Where’s Bear/Where’s Spot to help them with turn taking and sharing. Lastly, the children enjoyed going on a virtual journey around the local area and looked at their own houses!
