Whilst some of the Year 6 children have been in Dol-y-Moch, we have been enjoying our Forest School experience back at school. Over two days, we took part in various activities including making a fire and toasting marsh-mellows, drawing with charcoal from the fire, building our own obstacle course, making bracelets and necklaces out of elder which we gathered from near the pond area and building dens. We spent all day outside and were very pleased that the weather was so great (especially for February). One of our favourite activities was making our own bread and drinking hot chocolate. We boiled the water and cooked the bread using the fire we made.
We split into groups for each activity and had to ensure that we worked well as a team. We learnt a lot but most importantly had lots of fun!
