In Year 4, we have been extending our programming skills by using MakeCode, a programming application supported by Microsoft that is available online. Using this app, we have then been able to download our programs onto MicroBits via bluetooth. MicroBits are credit card-sized mini computers that can be programmed to do many things. They have a simple led panel that can be used to output simple icons, a couple of buttons, output pins and built-in light, temperature and sound sensors.
We used MakeCode to create some simple animations and games, and then flashed these to our MicroBits to try them out. It was great fun!
