Water Fountains

During our Tuesday morning Forest School session in Year 5, we were (for once) hoping for lots of rain! Our task for the lesson was to create a water fountain, in groups, that met a set criteria.

It had to; look appealing, have a lovely sound when water passes through and function in it’s intended way.

We used anything we could find from the Forest School shed/area (mainly plant pots, plastic tubing and tyres) to build a working water fountain.

Unfortunately the rain didn’t pour which meant Mr Stevens had to use the watering can to simulate the downpour we were hoping for. We really enjoyed looking at each others and even rated them based on the 3 key criteria above.
